This project is an ongoing transformation of the primary outdoor gathering space at Second Mile Community Church. Starting from the blank slate of a neglected dirt patch, the space now features custom concrete paving, a built-in bench, plantings and gabian baskets to better define the area. Future improvements will include a new covered walkway, custom rebar wall and a flexible textile overhead shade structure.

The site looks to provide passive / active water harvesting with plenty of shade for congregating before and after gatherings
The portico over the walkway that leads to the main entrance from the courtyard is being renovated to provide shade between the sanctuary and the classrooms
